Fred Zaspel and other alumni have posted a public request of Biblical Theological Seminary at another web site started for this purpose. The request seeks reaffirmation of orthodox Christian doctrine by the Seminary. Click on the link to see which alumni have signed on so far and to contact the web site to add your name to the list. Newcomers might ask, what is the basis for raising these serious questions? Broadly speaking, we can say that first, there was the publication of Beyond Foundationalism in 2001, co-authored by BTS theology prof. John Franke, with its view of Scripture clearly outside of evangelicalism. Secondly, the Seminary's newly chosen constituency, the emerging church, is moving in a post-evangelical direction, naturally raising questions about the Seminary's direction. For more details, look around on our web site. No. 1 : Thanks, for the update! Wow, I am Shocked! I knew that something was not right, when I received an E-mail, about “Missional” and Biblical’s Direction. And I must say, I was a bit turned off by all this attention on "Emerging" "Missional" etc... What happened to Scripture as Final authority, and the sound Exposition of Scripture exegesis using Greek & Hebrew, Resulting in the Sound Theological Exposition of the inerrant word of God? I knew something was up, when Dr. Newman Retired. What Happened to Dr. Vannoy, MR. Harding, Mr. Taylor and Dr. Clark, Fred Putnam, Even Charles Zimmerman? What a downward Spiral. |
