D. A. Carson Calls on Dave Dunbar to Resign
News Items and Reviews Relevant to BTS Issues

This call to resign was not public (it was mentioned to me some time ago "in confidence"), but Dave himself happened to mention it to a local pastor recently, putting it in the public domain.  The reasons (obviously) have to do with the current direction of the seminary.  Carson and Dunbar have known each other for a long time (Dave used to teach at Trinity, where Carson teaches).

“At the risk of sounding pedantic, I doubt very much that evangelicals are wise to pursue academic respectability.  What we need is academic responsibility.
There is a world of difference.“

Letters Along the Way, D.A. Carson and J.D. Woodbridge, p.174.
